Welcome to Claims Connection LLC blog

Welcome to Claims Connection LLC.

Let me introduce myself to you and tell you a little bit about what
we do. I am Donna McHugh, CMRS, owner and president of Claims Connection.

Because I have a medical background and had previous experience in medical billing for an emergency room, I became a certified medical reimbursement in 2010.
After a rigorous, professional education through Kaplan University, I began my search for the right clients. Because I felt that it was important to offer my clients the best, I became certified in August 2010. That means that every year, I must complete 15 Continuing Education Units to maintain certification. If the professionals that I work for must be licensed and certified, then I feel it is my duty to maintain the same professional standards that they must attain in their services to their clients.

Who are my clients and what services can I offer as a certified medical reimbursement specialist?

My clients are health providers and professionals in the healthcare industry. EX. physicians, dietitians,  physical therapists, chiropractors, mental health workers, nurse practitioners, etc. Basically, my clients are anyone who is qualified and credentialed to bill insurance companies for their services.

So, what can I do for them. Short answer: I can make sure you get paid for what you do.
The long answer:  I take your claims, superbills, charge slips, or whatever your office calls them and electronically file them so that the insurance companies pay you for your hard work. So what if they don't?

Another service that I offer is to do what is called AR work. It means that I take rejected or old claims to find the errors and correct them and submit them for payment. You would be surprised at how much money is lost through the lack of simple corrections. Time is money and when you take time to find the errors, you earn money!

If you would like to contact me about my services, send an e-mail to claimsconnectionllc@gmail.com

I will be using this blog to post pertinent information regarding medical issues, billing issues, and related articles.

Thank you for reading my post.

Donna McHugh
